The Ohio Public Employees Retirement System (OPERS) announced an increase in the contribution rate for employees and employers.The increase will be implemented using the following phased in approach:

OPERS is available to Classified and Administrative staff.Those employees contributing to an Alternative Retirement Plan (ARP) will also experience the phased-in increase in contributions. For more information regarding these increases please contact OPERS at 1-800-222-7377; Administrative and Classified employees enrolled in an ARP, may contact their specific ARP representative.
This will also be announced to Ohio University staff members in the December Issue of the Benefits Update.
