OPERS Offers Health Care Seminars on 3/18/09
Experts from the Ohio Public Employees Retirement System (OPERS) will be on the Athens campus to provide an informational session to Ohio University Employees on Wednesday, March 18, 2009. Employees may register for the 10:00am OR 1:00pm session. The seminar will be held in Room 240/242 in Baker University Center.
The informational session will last approximately two hours; allowing ample time for individual questions.
The member-specific health care seminar is designed to address the needs and concerns of active OPERS members within five years of retirement; however any employee participating in the OPERS defined benefit or combined plan is encouraged to attend. The seminar will help prepare members for the transition from employer-sponsored health care coverage to the OPERS retiree plan. Members will learn the details of their coverage options and how to navigate the application process.
