The Payroll Office has provided clarification for the Emergency Closure which occured on January 30, 2013. The official closing times are 12:00pm on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 to 12:00am on Thursday, January 31, 2013.
CLASSIFIED NON-BARGAINING EMERGENCY PAY INSTRUCTIONS.
IF EMPLOYEE LEFT AT THE TIME THE EMERGENCY STARTED (WORKED 8 -12) EMPLOYEE WOULD JUST ENTER TIME WORKED (IN 8:00 OUT 12:00) AND 4 HOURS WITH THE PAY CODE OTHER
IF EMPLOYEE WORKED DURING THE EMERGENCY:
Emergency started at 12:00 on 1/30. Employee's normal schedule is 8-5 1 hr lunch
Employee stayed until 1:00
MANAGERS NEED TO:
Go to Schedule Manager and extend schedule for that day for 1 hour.
Change the employee's out time to 12:00 or time emergency began
Give employee 1 hour PAY CODE OVERTIME
Give employee 4 hours other (or time that the normal schedule ends).
Go to detail view, enter comments (eg: emergency closing at 12:00, employee worked until 1:00)
If employee did not take a lunch, do a lunch exception of 0.
The employee should be paid 2 ½ times their rate for the hour worked or 1 hour other & 1 hour OT.
