how to apply
Applications for employment at Ohio University are accepted online. There are computers available at the Human Resource and Training Center during regular business hours.
classified (hourly) positions
When applying for classified positions, the online application must be submitted by the closing date and time on the posting. Any additional documentation (i.e. cover letter/resume/reference letters etc.) also be submitted by this deadline.
bargaining unit positions
Generally, the entry way into bargaining unit positions is by applying for Utility Worker or Food Service Worker position. The online application must be submitted by the closing date and time on the posting. Any additional documentation (i.e. cover letter/resume/reference letters etc.) submitted by this deadline. Employees must complete the initial probationary period of 960 hours before they may bid on other AFSCME positions. The filling of AFSCME positions is seniority driven.
faculty & administrative positions
Online applications are accepted for Faculty and Administrative postings.
