We expect all residents to abide by the policies set forth in university's Student Code of Conduct, as well as the policies published by Residential Housing in the terms and conditions of the Housing Contract and the Guide to Residential Living / Student Housing Handbook. For individuals to live together, a respect for each other and a commitment to certain standards is required. The Student Code of Conduct emphasizes the university's obligation to promote students' personal freedom, maturity and responsibility. Students at Ohio University accept the responsibility to adhere to all university rules and regulations.

Students found in violation of rules and regulations of the institution will be referred by their Residential Coordinator or Resident Director to University Judiciaries.

Residential Housing professional staff serve as hearing officers for the Office of University Judiciaries.
