The Residential Housing Advisory Committee made the following recommendations to the Ohio University Board of Trustees on February 24, 2011:
- 10 year Housing Master Plan
- Maintain approximately 8,000 beds on-campus
- 65% traditional / 35% suites
- Affect approximately 61% of beds in the next 10 years
- Finance through the use of equity and debt

- The final funding strategy shall be determined by the board in April
- 3 phased plan – first new building opening in 2013
- Site options

- Site 1 – currently a parking lot in front of Nelson and Adams Hall
- Site 2 – currently green space behind the “Front Four”
