Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning (HVAC)
Ohio University Facilities Management has prepared the following informational brochures to provide students with information on the HVAC equipment found in their room.
East Green & South Green Back 15
If you have reviewed this information and are having difficulty with the equipment in your room, please contact the Facilities Work Center at 740.593.2911. You can also complete a maintenance request online under the "Self-Service" menu on this site.
Upright Fan Coil Units
The individually controlled fan coil HVAC units found in most renovated residence halls require at least 2 feet of clearance in front of the unit at the floor where the air intake is located. Failing to allow proper air flow into the unit reduces the amount of air it can circulate, which can lead to reduced air quality in the room.
