Summer Sessions 


Summer Housing & Dining Contract

The 2014 summer session Housing & Dining Services Contract will be available online beginning February 15th. Please use the 'Apply Online' link located below our site menu, log in, and select Summer Contract 2147.

Summer Housing Accommodations

Students attending classes for the summer will be housed in Gamertsfelder or Bush Hall on East Green.

First Summer Session

  • Friday, May 9, 2014
    • Last day to reduce a meal plan for first or full summer session students
  • Friday, May 9, 2014
    • Residence hall opens at 4 pm for new students attending summer orientation only. Residential Housing staff will be available from 4 pm to 7 pm to check students in.
  • Saturday, May 10, 2014
    • First meal under board plan (lunch) for first summer session.
  • Sunday, May 11, 2014
    • Residence hall opens at 12 noon for continuing students. Check in will take place from 12 pm until 4 pm.
  • Monday, May 12, 2014
    • First day of first session classes.
  • Saturday, May 17, 2014
    • Last day to check out of residence hall to receive 60% housing refund
  • Saturday, May 24, 2014
    • Last day to check out of residence hall to receive 40% housing refund
  • Saturday, June 28, 2014
    • First summer session only residents must vacate the residence hall by 6 pm.

  • Sunday, June 29, 2014
    • Residence hall opens at 12 noon for second summer session.  Check in will take place from 12 pm until 4 pm.
    • Last day to reduce meal plans for second session students.
  • Monday, June 30, 2014
    • First meal under board plan (Breakfast) for second session.
    • First day of second session classes.
  • Saturday, July 5, 2014
    • Last day to check out of residence hall to receive 60% housing refund
  • Saturday, July 12, 2014
    • Last day to check out of residence hall to receive 40% housing refund
  • Saturday, August 16, 2014
    • Residence hall closes at 6 pm for summer school.

Refund Schedule

Refunds are made only for students who withdraw or do not attend Ohio University.

  • After February 15th and Prior to Hall Opening - 100%
  • Through 1st Week - 60%
  • Through 2nd Week - 40%
  • Through 3rd Week - No refund

All cancellations must be submitted in writing (e-mail, fax, or regular mail) to the Residential Housing Office.

Students paying for both summer sessions will receive a full refund for the second summer session if cancellation is received by the Residential Housing Office in writing prior to the last business day before classes begin.
