Summer Housing & Dining Contract

The 2011 summer session Housing & Dining Services Contract is now available online. Please use the 'Apply Online' link located below our site menu, log in, and select the appropriate summer session contract. Each summer session has a separate contract.

Summer Housing Accomodations

Students attending classes for the summer will be housed in Hoover, Wray and Ewing Houses on South Green.

First Summer Session

• Friday, June 17, 2011
  • Residence hall opens at 4 pm for new students attending summer orientation only. Residential Housing staff will be available from 4 pm to 7 pm to check students in.
• Sunday, June 19, 2011
  • Residence hall opens at 12 noon for continuing students. Residential Housing staff will be available in the staff office located in Wray House from 9 am to 5 pm.
  • Last day to reduce a meal plan for first or full summer session students.
• Monday, June 20, 2011
  • First meal under board plan (Breakfast) for first session.
  • First day of first session classes.
• Saturday, June 25, 2011
  • Last day to check out of residence hall to receive 60% housing refund
• Saturday, July 2, 2011
  • Last day to check out of residence hall to receive 40% housing refund
• Saturday, July 23, 2011
  • First summer session only residents must vacate the residence hall by 2:00 pm.

Second Summer Session

• Sunday, July 24, 2011
  • Residence hall opens at 12 noon for second summer session.
  • Last day to reduce meal plans for second session students.
• Monday, July 25, 2011
  • First meal under board plan (Breakfast) for second session.
  • First day of second session classes.
• Saturday, July 30, 2011
  • Last day to check out of residence hall to receive 60% housing refund
• Saturday, August 6, 2011
  • Last day to check out of residence hall to receive 40% housing refund
• Friday, August 26, 2011
  • Residence hall closes at 6 pm for summer school.

Refund Schedule

Refunds are made only for students who withdraw or do not attend Ohio University.

All cancellations must be submitted in writing (e-mail, fax, or regular mail) to the Residential Housing Office.

Students paying for both summer sessions will receive a full refund for the second summer session if cancellation is received by the Residential Housing Office in writing prior to the last business day before classes begin.
