The Department of Residential Housing is pleased to announce that we will be accepting applications for Residential Coordinator and Resident Director Positions this winter.
Residential Coordinator
The Residential Coordinator (RC) is responsible for the overall residential experience within their hall/complex (1-4 halls). The RC is given responsibility for establishing collaborative working relationships with university colleagues. RCs supervise para-professional hall staff (RAs/ARAs/SRAs) and in some instances will supervise 1-2 graduate assistants serving as a Resident Director. Additional duties include serving as a judicial hearing officer, serving on departmental and divisional teams, developing professional development or collateral-like experience, teaching the para-professional preparation course, planning residential area programming, serving in an on-call weekend duty rotation and advising hall council.
We are seeking candidates who have demonstrated skill in the areas of leadership within residence halls, educating students to participate fully in our diverse world, and overseeing the development of a strong residence hall community. The RC position is a 12 month, administrative contract, live-in position. The salary is $28,000 and includes furnished apartment, meal allotment, tuition waiver and other standard university benefits.

Resident Director
The Resident Director (RD) position is a live-in graduate appointment and requires that the applicant be enrolled for graduate level study at Ohio University. RD selection runs in conjunction with the Division of Student Affairs Graduate Assistant selection process and the College of Education's College Student Personnel program admissions process.
