Scholarly Interests 

Dr. McMills' areas of research include solid state nuclear magnetic resonance, spectroscopy and magnetic susceptibility, and chemical education: cooperative and collaborative learning.

Dr. McMills' publications include “87Rb, 85Rb, and 39K NMR Studies of Alkalides, Electrides, and Related Compounds” in Physical Chemistry, “The Lithium-Sodium-Methylamine System: Does a Low-Melting Sodide Become a Liquid Metal?” and “Lithium-Ethylamine and Lithium-Sodium-Ethylamine Systems: A Nonmetallic Liquid Electride and the Lowest Melting Fused Salt” both in the American Chemical Society.
