SAB's 9th Annual Paint the Town Green Contest
During Homecoming Week, October 8-14th, 2012, the Student Alumni Board (SAB) will be partnering with local businesses and organizations on campus to collect canned food for the Athens Food Pantry. In addition to helping alleviate hunger in Athens County, we also encourage everyone to display Bobcat spirit. With your help we are certain to make this event bigger than ever before! Here are places where collection boxes will be located across Ohio University and the Athens Community to drop off your donations:- The Athens County Chamber of Commerce

Paint Your Pride
- Baker Theater Lounge, October 9, 10 & 11, 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
- College Gate, October 10, 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
- In celebration of one of OU's memorable traditions, the graffiti wall, SAB will host a mock graffiti wall in Baker Center for students to share their Bobcat pride. We ask that all passers-by – students, alumni, faculty and community alike – share their 'best ever' OU memories and favorite Bobcat traditions by 'tagging' our wall.
- SAB will be sharing music, snacks and Bobcat pride with all who stop by.
Monday, October 8
- Come visit the Homecoming Steering Committee's table outside of the 4th floor of Baker
from 12-3 PM. Visit with Rufus and purchase raffle tickets that will be announced at the
Kick-Off event. An ice cream truck will also be giving out free ice cream until supplies
last! There will also be another table located in the 3rd floor Baker atrium from 12-3 PM
passing out free homecoming gifts.
Homecoming Kickoff
- Kickoff will begin at 18:04 (6:04 p.m.)
- Held throughout Baker University Center
- 2012 Bobcat Court announced at 7:00 p.m.
- Festivities include carnival games, DJ, photobooth and free snacks
Tuesday, October 9

Blood Drive
- Part of the Homecoming Service Week events
- The Blood Drive will take place on the 5th floor of the Baker Center from 12:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Get to Know Your Bobcat Court
- Bobcat Student Lounge, Baker University Center 1st Floor, 5:00 p.m.
- Bobcat Court voting will begin at 7 p.m. online at ohio.edu/homecoming
"Everything You Need to Know About the Opposite Sex"
- Templeton Blackburn Memorial Auditorium, 8:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
- Greek Life Speaker
- Dr. Lori Hart will present her program "Everything You Need to Know About the Opposite Sex" an informative and humorous take on some serious issues.
- All are welcome!
Wednesday, October 10
- The Homecoming Steering Committee will be tabling outside of the 4th floor of Baker from 12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. Stop by for free homecoming gear! There will also be another table located in the 3rd floor Baker atrium from 12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. passing out free homecoming gifts.

- A Homecoming display will pay tribute to OHIO's 208-year old history. Across 18 tables will lay University yearbooks, "The Post" and other student publications such as the "Green Goat." Photographs, athletic programs, posters, scrapbooks and additional memorabilia will also be on display. Ohio University films from the 1930s, 1940s and 1970s will be screening, for further visual stimulation. Do not miss this opportunity--it's surely a sight to see!

OU Mini-Farmer's Market
- OU Howard Park (beside College Green - Union St. side), 10:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
- Celebrate the fall with the 4th Ohio University Mini Farmer's Market in OU's Howard Park.
- This event will feature delicious, locally grown produce, as well as locally produced and organic breads, jams / jellies, confections, coffees, teas, chocolates and much more.
- All proceeds will go directly to participating vendors and will support sustainable agriculture, local businesses and the locovore movement here in our community. Stop by and meet some of your favorite vendors as they visit the Ohio University campus for you.

Ronald P. Socciarelli Memorial Concert

- Please join us in this celebration of Ronald P. Socciarelli, Director of Bands Emeritus, who served from 1973-1992. This special concert will feature the Ohio University Wind Symphony and Symphonic Band, performing a musical tribute to the nearly twenty-year legacy of this leader of the concert and marching bands at Ohio University.
