School Rules
Attention:
You
must request all CCE/IS exams from us at least one month in advance
of your CCE/IS enrollment deadline. You must take the exam within one month
after the exam has arrived; otherwise you will be officially withdrawn
from that course.
If
you are absent on the designated Saturday (please check with us the date)
without explanation (message on voice mail or e-mail is not allowed), exam
will be sent back to Ohio University immediately. For exam request, please
call Fanny at 3411-5603 or Pat at 3411-5471.
Please
remember: you must have submitted the required lessons to Ohio University
before you request the mid-term final exam. No exam will be sent until
all lessons preceding that exam have been graded. Independent Study Office
will not forward exams automatically to Hong Kong. The tuition fee already
included the mailing fee, just return your lessons to us, we will send
your lessons to Ohio University by Federal Express every week. If you want
to send your lessons on your own, please make sure you are putting a round
yellow sticker on each lesson. Be certain always to keep a Xerox copy of
all lessons or papers which you send.
Re-issuance
SCE student card
If
you want to reissue your SCE ID student card, please give us your old student
card and one photo with Chinese Name on the back no later than the 25th
of each month, then the new student card will be ready for you early in
the next month.
Typhoons
and Storms
Students
need to take note of the following rules regarding classes during inclement
weather. If the typhoon signal no. 8 or above (or the black storm
signal) is hoisted, all classes will be suspended. However, if the typhoon
signal is lowered (or the black rainstorm signal is removed) before
3:00pm on a weekday or before 11:00am on a Saturday, classes will be
held. You can check with the counter at 3411-5509 (David C. Lam Building),
or 3411-5771 (SCE Tower) when OU staff are not in the office.
