Graduation
You
must maintain at least a 2.0 (C) grade point average to be eligible for
graduation. You are responsible for meeting requirements for your particular
degree.
Before
you can graduate, you must complete a graduation
application and pay the application fee (currently US$50 for either
a bachelor's or an associate's degree) by the deadline
for the quarter in which you plan to graduate. The deadline for applying
is listed in the academic calendar.
Once
you have applied for graduation, your college well check to make sure that
you have fulfilled all degree requirements. If you are eligible, the university
enters your college, major , degree, and the date the degree was granted
on your permanent academic record.
If
you apply for graduation but fail to meet the requirements, you may reapply
to graduate during a later quarter. The fee for re-application is US$5.
For
a bachelor's degree, you must have a minimum of 192 quarter hours
of credit. An associate's degree requires a minimum of 96 quarter hours.
You also must meet all college and General Education requirements.
Ohio
University holds an annual commencement at the end of spring
quarter (early June). All students are encouraged to attend the commencement
ceremony. If you are interested in attending, the degree program administrator
can provide information about ordering a cap and gown for the ceremony.
