HealthAlerts - straight talk on today's health challenges

Web site targets students, faculty, and staff

Ohio University is speaking out with HealthAlerts -- proactively empowering our University community with knowledge and resources to address the critical, less-talked-about health and safety issues facing today's college students, faculty, and staff.

HealthAlerts provides important information on key health issues often associated with any major educational institution. This website is continuously updated to reflect Ohio University’s current health emergency preparedness and education efforts.

As part of these efforts, a newly-formed University-driven Ebola Campaign is mobilizing to raise awareness about Ebola and to offer support to those who are affected within our communities. This site will feature developing information on these and other efforts that are bolstering Ohio University’s preparedness. Visit this site for updates.

The goal of the HealthAlerts site is to ensure students, faculty, and staff are aware of health challenges and to help them better manage their responses to those challenges.

As with all medical issues, there is no substitute for professional medical attention. When in doubt, see your doctor and see your doctor early. Visit the student health center or your personal physician.
