GSS Travel Grants

The purpose of the Travel Grant is to provide support to graduate students for travel to present original work as well as travel for professional development workshops and seminars.

The travel grant is intended to further graduate education through participation in seminars and conferences and foster professional development to further students’ careers. The grant attempts to cover the majority of costs associated with such travel, but it can ONLY be used to cover mileage, airfare, accommodations, and rental car. Please review the guidelines below for additional details.

The travel grant can be used to fund any local, national or international travel as long as the purpose of the intended travel is to present original work or for professional development. Additionally, the grant can be used to fund travel that is intended to further the professional development of an applicant in the form of workshops or seminars.

The application form is an Adobe Acrobat form. Please use the most recent version of the application form and fill in the details before printing.

**Beginning fall of 2009, students may only submit ONE travel grant application for consideration in the lottery drawing. Failure to follow this guideline will result in disqualification.**

Each term, the list of travel grant winners will be posted on this Web page at the end of Week 8 in the term.
