GSS Travel Grants

The purpose of the Travel Grant is to provide support to graduate students for travel to present original work as well as travel for professional development workshops and seminars.

The travel grant is intended to further graduate education through participation in seminars and conferences and foster professional development to further students’ careers. The grant attempts to cover the majority of costs associated with such travel, but it can ONLY be used to cover mileage, airfare, accommodations, and rental car. Please review the guidelines below for additional details.

The travel grant can be used to fund any local, national or international travel as long as the purpose of the intended travel is to present original work or for professional development. Additionally, the grant can be used to fund travel that is intended to further the professional development of an applicant in the form of workshops or seminars.

Below, please find listed the FALL 2009 travel grant winners. If your name is on the list and you are NO LONGER traveling as indicated on your application, please email the GSS Grant Chair, Jennette Lovejoy: JL141705@ohio.edu, so that we may pick another winner. Individual emails will be sent out soon, but in an effort to get this information out, this is a preliminary list. THANK YOU.

Additionally, grant winners must have their department administrator work with GSS account manager, Lisa Poston (postonl@ohio.edu) in order to get the funds transferred to respective departments to then disperse to the graduate student winner.
