Website Troubleshooting
Are you having problems with features of the Graduate Studies website? If so, please read through the answers of common problems below. If you are still having problems, please let us know by emailing tedesco@ohio.edu or calling us at (740) 593-2800.
Q. I can't open the ".pdf" documents. A. .Pdf documents are Adobe Portable Document Files. To view these files, you must download Adobe Acrobat Reader here (free and easy to install). If you already have Acrobat Reader installed properly and you still cannot view the .pdfs, then your internet browser may be only saving the files instead of opening them. To resolve this, right-click on the .pdf link and click on "open".
Q. I can't open the Graduate Portal webpage. A. Your internet browser is probably blocking pop-up windows, thus preventing the Graduate Portal window from opening. If you are using Internet Explorer as your web browser, click on "Tools," then click on the "Privacy" tab, then un-check the "Block pop-ups" box. If you are using Mozilla Firefox as your internet browser, click on "Tools", then click on the "Content" tab, then un-check the "Block pop-up windows" box. If neither of these options resolve the problem, check to see if you have a toolbar attached to your web browser (such as Google Toolbar or Yahoo Toolbar). If so, you may need to adjust the toolbar settings to not block pop-ups. If you still have problems, just contact us at the email and phone number below.
