Student Achievement in Research and Scholarship (STARS)

The Student Achievement in Research and Scholarship (STARS) program matches academically gifted minority undergraduates with faculty mentors. It also provides enrichment and support activities, including paid research assistantships, STARS clubs, graduate school visitations, GRE preparation seminars, and an annual statewide conference where students present their research. Students who qualify are guaranteed an early offer of admission to an Ohio graduate school, along with financial support during their first year of study. STARS programs are currently in place on 22 campuses in Ohio.
