Graduate Writing and Research Center

The Graduate Writing and Research Center (GWRC) at Ohio University is an innovative learning space for graduate and undergraduate students who are working on major writing projects like theses, dissertations, journal articles, grants, and job search materials. We also offer research support by partnering with the University's subject librarians and providing tutoring in research methods and statistics.

The GWRC is currently hiring for academic year 2015-16 (with possible hours available during Summer 2015). We encourage all who are interested to apply; special consideration will be given to those with backgrounds in the sciences, education, and health sciences. Tutors are not required to be OU students or native speakers of English, although fluency in academic English is essential. Compensation is $17/hour for 4-10 hours per week.

Tutors should be excellent writers and teachers with a strong knowledge of their field's research methodologies and successful experience writing in a variety of their field's genres. Those holding a doctoral degree or ABD strongly preferred.
