Faculty Mentors

Are faculty mentors encouraged to attend?

ABSOLUTELY, but the students must make the presentations without the help of their faculty mentors.

Do you encourage multiple presentations from a single department?

The more the merrier!  If there are a sufficient number of presenters, separate sessions will be created for (1) undergraduate students and (2) post-degree students: graduate and medical students, and postdoctoral fellows.

How can I help my student prepare for the event?

We strongly encourage students to practice their presentations before a faculty mentor and/or research group.  Constructive criticism prior to the event will help the student prepare a better presentation and typically boost his/her confidence.
