Additional Information
Graduate students beginning a program in the School of Media Arts and Studies can receive instruction in international media, new technology, media management, media policy, media studies, multimedia, public broadcasting, communication and development, and critical cultural studies. Theoretical rather than technical expertise is stressed in these concentration areas. Students are encouraged to work closely with faculty in the School of Media Arts and Studies when exploring their declared areas of specialization.
Our MA graduates go into production and management jobs, and some continue at OU and elsewhere for a PhD. Most PhD students find full time, tenure track jobs at universities in the United States and abroad.
