• Minimum TOEFL: 600 (paper), 250 (computer), 100 (Internet), or IELTS: 7.0 overall average
• A brief statement of interest or purpose (1-2 pages)
• A brief resume (if you request a financial aid)
• 3 letters of recommendation (on the applicant's academic, research, and professional ability)

• Average Amount: Teaching Assistantships: $11,000 plus full tuition waiver, Non-teaching Assistantships: $7,200 plus full tuition waiver, Tuition Scholarships: full tuition waiver

The Department of Linguistics values the balance of theory and practice and has research strengths in TESOL, second language literacy, language testing, CALL, second language acquisition, psycholinguistics, sociolinguistics and pragmatics.
