The International Education Week Photo Contest is an annual program cosponsored by the Office of Global Opportunities and the Ohio University Alumni Association. The competition is open to OHIO students, alumni, staff and faculty. The theme of this year's photo contest will focus on international education. This year there are 5 categories: People, Crossing Cultures, Sense of Place, Bobcats: Near and Far and What International Education Means to Me. The goal of the International Photography Contest is to celebrate different ways the OHIO community interprets international education and to encourage others to embark on their own international education journey.
Photo entries are due Friday, October 24th. Photographs must be the original work of the entrant. Entries must be accompanied by a completed official entry form and submitted electronically to OEAphotocontest@gmail.com. Participants can submit up to 10 photos, 2 in each category. Please carefully read and follow the criteria for entry to successfully enter the Photo Contest.
Judging will be completed by photography professionals and winners will be notified electronically by Monday, November 10th. 1st place, 2nd place, 3rd place and "honorable mention" awards will be made for each category. In addition, the "Fans Choice" leg of the contest will allow Instagram users to vote on their favorite photo on the OEA Instagram Page.
Winners in each category will be framed and displayed at the Baker Front Room during International Education Week until the close of fall semester. First place submission in all five categories will also receive a gift to be provided by the Ohio University Alumni Association.
