As the associate director of development in the College of Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University, I facilitate the cultivation and stewardship of alumni and friends of the college. Before coming to Carnegie Mellon I served as the alumni development coordinator at the Mortar Board National College Senior Honor Society headquarters in the Honors and Scholars Center at The Ohio State University. I was offered my current job for the intangible skills such as my ability to accept criticism, ask for critique, to see the big picture as well as the willingness to state my opinion and effect change. I attribute these skills to the GLC, especially being in the inaugural class.
