I graduated from the OU MBA program in August 2004 after returning from my final project in South Africa. The MBA program was very similar to my experience in the GLC because it emphasized PBL and international consulting projects. The combination of GLC, my MBA, and my work at the Voinovich Center helped me get a job right out of school. I’ve been working up the ladder and am now working at Case Western Reserve University doing Graduate Programs in one of the School of Medicine Departments. This is a great experience and since I now work at a University, I’ve been working on obtaining a Certificate in Non-Profit Management. School never ends but I learned in GLC to relish opportunities and take advantage of everything put in front of me. To this day, the far majority of my professional/travel stories spur from GLC consulting projects or class work. I now live in Cleveland Heights and spend my time enjoying concerts, art shows and the many other cultural activities that NE Ohio has to offer.
I now look back on the GLC as being the best decision that I made during my time in Athens. I not only gained a great deal of professional experience from the projects and the international travel, but lasting friendships from my ‘teammates’.
