Department of Geological Sciences: Quarter to Semesters (Q2S) Transition Plans Critical Introductory Information The Q2S Transition in Geological Sciences and Who to Contact (PDF) The Q2S Transition at Ohio University (link to overview) Q2S Coursework Information for Students As guaranteed by Ohio University, the Q2S transition will not cause a delay in a student's graduation date. The Department of Geological Sciences has prepared detailed coursework plans for undergraduate students who will spend from one to four years on the semester system. These plans are linked below by majors. The plans assume students who entered under the quarter system have taken courses appropriate to their class standing (e.g., junior-level) prior to Fall 2012. Students who have not completed the courses expected of their class standing, a problem unrelated to the Q2S transition, may require additional time for graduation. In either case, the plans linked below will be individualized for students and the Department is committed to smoothing the Q2S process for students as much as possible. Students should contact their advisor or those people listed in the transition document linked above. Note: Regional campus advising will begin Winter 2012 and continue through Spring 2012.
