Dr. MacEachren is a Professor of Geography and Director of the GeoVISTA Center at Penn State University. His research interests, rooted in the cartographic/geographic background he obtained as an undergraduate at Ohio University, include cartographic symbolization, geovisualization, geocollaboration, spatial cognition, visual analytics, and user-centered design.
