This work is part of Kyle's ongoing MS thesis research, aiming at understanding temperature and circulation changes across the Antarctic Peninsula and West Antarctica. JGR is in the top 10 highest cited peer-reviewed journals in the atmospheric sciences, and to have a paper published as lead author as an MS student is quite an accomplishment.
Kyle will be speaking on his research at the West Antarctic Ice Sheet workshop outside of Washington DC. Kyle received a $300 travel award from the conference organizers, and will be one of the few MS-level students in attendance at the workshop.
To be awarded September 2013.
Jessica's thesis research is featured in Perspectives magazine. Additionally, her story will appear in Compass, and on OU's Front door web page.
