BFA Playwriting Application

As you know, you cannot graduate from Ohio University as a General Theater major (BF5137). Students wishing to continue as BA Theater majors or change to a BA Theater Major (BA5194) do not require a formal application, but should consult with their advisor.

In order to be accepted into a BFA program, you must complete the application process.Students may apply to more than one BFA program (a complete written application, interview and/or audition for each program must be completed).

NOTE: The School of Theater faculty is in the process of expanding the BFA in Playwriting to become a program that explores writing for performance across the curricula of the merged schools of Theater, Dance and Film. This merger will be official starting Fall semester 2013. The changes are planned to take effect during the 2013-2014 academic year. Please email Erik Ramsey (ramseye@ohio.edu) for further information.

Applications for the BFA Playwriting Program are due by: April 10, 2013
