Dec 11, 2014On Weds., Dec. 4th, Ohio University Film production students attended a presentation on implementing green initiatives and practices into their film sets. Thesis M.F.A. student Vince O’Connell, who is spearheading sustainability practices within the program, organized for guest speakers Amanda Scarano Carter, Chair of Producer’s Guild of America Green West, and Andrew Ladd, Ohio University Recycling and Zero Waste Manager, to speak with students and faculty.

Produced by Perez’s Chiwake Films and released by Wide House, Finding Gaston follows world-renowned Peruvian chef Gaston Acurio on his journey to use his culinary talents to foster national identity and pride. Perez shows Acurio as more than an award-winning chef, author and entrepreneur and provides a lens into the personal experiences and inspirations that make Acurio a national hero. Perez followed Acurio for two years - traveling to England, Spain, Sweden and the U.S. – to discover the storytelling power of Peruvian cuisine.
