D'Lo is a queer Tamil Sri-L.A.nkan political theatre artist/writer, director, comedian, and music producer who has performed extensively throughout the U.S., Canada, Europe, Sri Lanka, and India. In addition to creating and performing his own work, D'Lo also works as an actor and collaborates with companies such as TeAda and Great Leap.D'Lo's performances blend storytelling, autobiographical monologue, hip-hop/spoken word, and stand-up comedy. D'Lo's works focus on the complexities of identity, the challenges of being a transgender person of color, and growing up in a Sri Lankan immigrant family in California.

D'FaQTo Lifeis a roller-coaster ride of emotions with stories executed through stand-up, spoken word/poetry, and theater. D'Lo explores topics relating to South Asia and transgender social justice from the perspective of being a child of immigrant parents, raised in hip hop culture while trying to negotiate how identifying as "queer" intersected with a passion to create political art.

D'Lo Creative Performance Workshop
D'Lo has been teaching creative workshops for over a decade for writers, poets, actors and performance artists, and those who think they are not artistic! The workshop will focus on finding a creative voice through writing and ways to enhance the written words through performance. Participants will engage in exercises that allow experimentation in writing, reading and performing work, analyzing and adapting to the challenges of different venues, connecting with audiences, and techniques to strengthen and prepare the body and voice for performance. Limit: 10
