Kjersten Lester-Moratzka

Associate Professor of Production Design and Technology

Associate Professor Kjersten Lester-Moratzka joined the faculty of the School of Theater in 2003 to lead the costume technology focus within the Production Design and Technology MFA and BFA programs. In addition to teaching in Athens, she works professionally as a Principal Draper for The Santa Fe Opera.  Additional regional credits include: The Utah Shakespearean Festival, The Colorado Shakespeare Festival, The Children's Theatre Company and The Guthrie Theatre. In addition, she has worked for a number of production companies, including the Tony Award winning Broadway musical Bring In Da Noise, Bring in Da Funk, and the Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey Circus. Ms. Moratzka has also served on the faculties of Louisiana State University and Appalachian State University. She received her MFA from the North Carolina School of the Arts in Costume Technology.
