Instrumental Ensemble Audition Materials
Placement auditions for the Spring 2013 semester will be held during the first week of classes (January 14-17). All students wishing to audition for Symphonic Band, Wind Symphony, or Symphony Orchestra should prepare the following excerpts for your specific instrument. There is no audition required to participate in University Band.
Tentative Audition Schedule (Subject to change)
Monday, January 14th
- 2-4pm - Flutes
- 4-6pm - Cellos and Basses; Saxophones
- 7-9pm - Clarinets
Tuesday, January 15th
- 1:30-3pm - Double Reeds
- 3-5:00pm - Trumpet
- 7-8pm - Violins and Violas
- 7-8pm - Euphonium
- 8-9pm - Tuba
Wednesday, January 16th
- 2-3pm - Horn
- 4-6pm - Trombones
- 7-9:30pm - Percussion
