Visiting Assistant Professor of Opera Theater, Applied Voice

Philip Christiansen joins the Ohio University faculty having held teaching positions at Indiana University, New Mexico State University, Vincennes University, Indiana State University, Millikin University, Park Tudor School and the University of Louisiana-Lafayette. His stage credits include more than fifty operas, musicals, and plays serving as musical director, stage director, stage manager and performer. As a recitalist he has been a guest at Cleveland Institute of Music, Texas A&M-Kingsville, Oakland City University and Truman State University as well as with such varied organizations as Terre Haute Sinfonietta, Phillips Wind Ensemble and the San Angelo Aids Foundation. His teachers include Roy Delp, Dale Moore, Nicola Rossi-Lemeni, and Virginia Babikian. He is an active member of NATS (National Association of Teachers of Singing), having been served as a NATS Intern and President of New Mexico NATS. He has presented for the NMCDA and has adjudicated for numerous organizations in Indiana and New Mexico.
