2014 Music Therapy National Conference
Purpose: To promote the general welfare of the School of Music and its alumni and friends.
Affiliation: The Society is officially chartered by, recognized by, and affiliated with the Ohio University Alumni Association http://www.oumusicalumni.org.
Membership: The Society is open to all alumni and friends of the School of Music. Alumni are those who have successfully completed at least one year of study in the School of Music.
The School of Music Society of Alumni and Friends, chartered in 1984, is led by a 15-member Board of Directors. The Board meets on campus twice a year in an advisory capacity to the Director of the School. Several awards are presented by the Society including Service and Certificate of Appreciation, Achievement in Music, and the Society of Alumni and Friends Endowed Scholarship. The Board's committees work with recruitment, student programs, and public relations. Members of the Board participate annually in the School of Music Honors Assembly and the Ohio Music Educators Conference Alumni Reception.
