Matt Fillmore's Body Dialectic Selected to Film Fests

School of Film thesis student Matt Fillmore's film Body Dialectic has been accepted to three festivals to date.  The film surveys the life and work of Kris/Kristen Grey/Justin Credible, a performance artist who mobilizes transgender issues by the means of personal experience and reflection, and embraces the historical use of the personal to make larger political claims that do not attempt to neatly categorize the polymorphous relationship between gender and bodies.

OU FILM TAKES STEPS TOWARDS GREEN PRODUCTION INITIATIVES

Dec 11, 2014 On Weds., Dec. 4th, Ohio University Film production students attended a presentation on implementing green initiatives and practices into their film sets. Thesis M.F.A. student Vince O’Connell, who is spearheading sustainability practices within the program, organized for guest speakers Amanda Scarano Carter, Chair of Producer’s Guild of America Green West, and Andrew Ladd, Ohio University Recycling and Zero Waste Manager, to speak with students and faculty.
