Diane Carson is a Professor Emeritus of St. Louis Community College at Meramec and an adjunct professor at Webster University where she leads upper division film seminars. She served as the President of the University Film and Video Association from 2008 to 2010. Diane is a member on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Film and Video and served on the editorial board of the Society for Cinema and Media Studies Cinema Journal from 1998-2003.
Dr. Carson has contributed to and co-edited several anthologies on topics including acting in film, multicultural pedagogy, feminist film theory, and John Sayles. Diane has worked on several documentaries, including as consultant for the romantic comedy unit of The History of American Film and as associate producer for Remembering Bonnie and Clyde. She is currently working on a book on food and film.
She can also be heard weekly as film critic/reviewer for KDHX (88.1) FM community radio in St. Louis.
