We offer all our students some combination of tuition waivers and graduate assistantships during their years of study in the Film Division. Compared with the cost of graduate film schools elsewhere, we most definitely are a very good financial value.

The Betty Thomas Film Award:

Betty Thomas Film Award Betty Thomas received a BFA from Ohio University's School of Art in 1969. She first achieved national stardom for her powerful portrayal of Sgt. Lucy Bates in the TV series, "Hill Street Blues". She has gone on to directing films including "The Brady Bunch Movie", "Private Parts", and "Doctor Doolittle". The purpose of this endowment is to help female MFA students underwrite the costs of making their thesis films. Previous winners of this award are:
