Ohio University offers a number of resources for funding research, creative work, and scholarly activity. In addition, the College of Fine Arts provides funding to support creative work, scholarship, and research. The office of the Vice President for Research provides valuable information about external as well as internal funding sources.

The Aesthetic Technologies Lab, also known as the @Lab, is the trans-disciplinary Research and Development unit of the College of Fine Arts.
The @Lab’s role is to provide the tools and resources to promote creative inquiry at the intersection of technology development and fine arts practice. Its focus is to support projects that integrate high-end technology as an integral component in the art-making process, as well as projects that include cross-disciplinary collaboration to inform their outcomes.
The goal of the @Lab is to develop and nourish a center of local, regional and international prominence both in its intellectual, as well as its artistic/aesthetic contributions.
The @Lab at Ohio University is committed to supporting projects in which technology is used to serve artistic merit.

The role of the College of Fine Arts Instructional Technology Specialist is to provide assistance to units in maintaining, developing, and enhancing the use of technology for instructional purposes.
