Misty Thomas-Trout studied her undergrad at The Art Institute of Pittsburgh from 2000–2002, and at The University of Dayton from 2010–2011, both majoring in Graphic Design. After receiving her BFA in Graphic Design, Misty started teaching at the University of Dayton. She taught Typography One and Typography Two, Graphic Design One and 3D Package Design. Throughout the years, Misty has designed for several clients and most recently has helped maintain and establish the brand identity for The University of Dayton. She also designed the first Department of Visual Arts journal that was awarded a Gold Hermes/addy Award for Advertising for the Arts and Sciences, Herme's Judge's Award Honor of Excellence and the UCDA Design Competition.
Misty is now pursuing her MFA in Graphic Design at Ohio University pending 2016. She is currently teaching one section of Graphic Design Principles.
