Promissory Notes

All students who will be receiving their first Federal Direct Subsidized/Unsubsidized Stafford Loan are required to complete an electronic Master Promissory Note (MPN).

A student who is awarded the Federal Perkins Loan will need to complete a Federal Perkins Loan Promissory Note as well as a Personal and Confidential Information Form. Once the student accepts the Perkins Loan a link to the promissory note will be available.

A parent who wants to apply for a Federal Direct Parent Loan (PLUS) will need to complete a PLUS application at www.studentloans.gov, obtain a PIN number from the federal Department of Education, and complete the electronic PLUS Master Promissory Note. More detailed information about applying for a PLUS Loan can be found on our web site under loans.

It is important that the Office of the Registrar always has valid addresses for you. Promissory notes are legal documents and should be completed accurately.
