Award Letter

If you are an incoming freshman and we received the results of your FAFSA by our first-priority deadline of March 15 and you were admitted to Ohio University by that time, your Financial Aid Award Letter will be mailed in early April. We will award freshmen whose FAFSA is received after our deadline on a continuing basis.

If you are an upperclass or graduate student your award letter will be available online by the end of May. We will send an email to your Ohio University email account once your award letter is available online.

You can access your financial aid award information online anytime once you are awarded. To access your award offer, login to your online services/portal at my.ohio.edu and access the Accounts tab. In the Financial Aid Information section, select the My OHIO Student Center link. You will see a link to access your financial aid. It is important to visit this site often to review your student to-do list and to ensure you have completed all necessary requirements to receive your financial aid. Your paper Award Letter should not be returned unless you want to decline your aid. If you have questions about your financial aid awards, you should contact our office.

We continue to update financial aid awards throughout the school year. If your aid package is revised, we will email your Ohio University email account instructing you to review your revised financial aid awards online.

If you decide not to attend Ohio University, please let us know. You also should inform the Office of Admissions and the Office of Housing, if applicable; and, cancel your classes if you have preregistered.
