Ohio University Relocation Policy
Ohio University's relocation policy is guided in part by Internal Revenue Service (IRS) regulations available at:

However, the respective Departments have the full responsibility to determine the need and applicability of relocation compensation. When and if the Department makes the decision to offer faculty or staff member a relocation package it will normally include;
• transportation of household goods
• temporary housing
• travel and lodging cost from the old residence to the new residence
• a Home Owner assistance package if you own a home at the time of hire
The Procurement Services group has the responsibility to coordinate the movement of your household goods. As such, Procurement Services has negotiated pricing with preferred suppliers to assist you with your relocation. You must contact Kathy Hoisington at (740)593-1959, so that she can authorize the preferred suppliers to start the process.
