"I wanted to pass along one of the successful interactions the Office of Education Abroad has had with Sky Bird Travel and Concur. Each year we send a group of students and faculty to China for two weeks in the summer. The program is intense and includes tours of business and industry throughout Asia. Historically we have used the same travel agent each year. This year we submitted the trip information to Sky Bird Travel for a quote. "I have about 6 people on travel through the end of Friday not counting Dave or Mike. All of these staff booked hotels through the cliqbooks site and seemed to find dramatically lower room rates. I had to book three rooms for students and found a $17.00 savings. The truth will be seen when they return if they did not have problems getting the "Gov't" rate which is what we booked. If the lower rates hold we will have very happy people and a bonus to promote to the campus. "
"We booked a group travel/airfare arrangement directly with travel world with one weeks notice and got a great price/flight/time, Thanks Tina!!! We got three tickets from CMH to Orlando direct for $237.20 each after fees. Our faculty member was thrilled. We could not book them ourselves in cliq books as we could not see Southwest as available, not sure if it was the system or us but Tina took great care of us. Kudos!!
