Student Information System and Network Fee
Pursuant to the Ohio University Board of Trustees' approval at its April 24, 2009 Resources Committee meeting, the University will utilize a debt issuance for the financing of projects which include the purchase and implementation of various technology initiatives including a student information system and all of the appurtenant requirements and various network equipment and network infrastructure upgrades.
As part of the financing, one-half of the annual debt service will be supported by general fund budget reallocated from other University sources while the remainder will be supported by a student fee assessed each quarter to each student. The fee, subject to a number of factors, including enrollment, the interest rate on the debt, and term of the debt, will be $22.00 per student per quarter for full-time students. Non-capitalizable costs related to the project will be borne solely by University general fund reallocations.
