Interim/Fiscal Reporting

All reports prepared by the individual departments must be sent directly to the ORSP for review.

Technical Reporting:
Technical reports are generally done on a quarterly basis and prepared by the PI of the grant. The technical reporting requirements are established by the granting agency.

Annual Financial Reporting:
The financial closeout reporting is done at the end of the grant by the Grants and Contracts Accounting Office. The individual department is not responsible for financial closeout reporting.

Patent/Property Reporting: Patent and property reporting is done on an annual basis. Patents are handled by ORSP. Property is handled by Grants and Contracts Accounting and Plant Fund Accounting, therefore it is important that all equipment purchased be reported to both of those offices.

Effort Reports: Effort reports are a specific requirement of the Grants and Contracts Accounting Office and must be prepared by the individual departments Effort reports are not required to be sent to the ORSP.

Contractor's Release/Assignment of Goods: The Contractor's Release form and Assignment of Goods form is completed at the end of a contract by the Grants and Contracts Accounting Office. It is signed by the VP for Finance and certified by the Secretary of the OU Board of Trustees.

Other interim reports may be required depending on specific granting agency requirements.
