Employee Identification Number (EIN)
An Employer Identification Number (EIN) is also known as a federal tax identification number. The Ohio University EIN number is 31-6402113. A campus department who bills outside suppliers, may contact Procurement Services to request an assigned prefix for the University EIN, in order to accommodate a supplier who can not assign more than one payment address per EIN. Departments should NOT assign themselves a prefix, or change their prefix. At this point in time, the existing individualized EINs are:
