The Grants and Contract Accounting Office is responsible for handling the post-award accounting activity for the University that is received from external agencies under a grant or contract. The staff monitors expenditures against restricted accounts for compliance with university, state, federal and other sponsor guidelines to ensure policies are consistently applied.  Annual expenditures exceed $84 million in Research, Instruction, Public Service and Student Aid awards from a variety of sponsors: Federal, State, Private, Foreign and Local Government under the supervision of Linda Shapiro, Associate Controller, Vice President for Finance and Administration.
