The Ohio University Institute for Applied and Professional Ethics is providing a limited number of grants to cover travel, registration, and board expenses of Ohio University undergraduates presenting papers at the 2004 meeting of the Association for Practical and Professional Ethics in Cincinnati.

Registration materials, submission guidelines, and descriptions of the undergraduate program are available at www.indiana.edu/~appe/callforpapers.html.

To receive a grant, a student must be enrolled in an Ohio University campus in the Winter 2004 quarter and must have a paper accepted for presentation at the 2004 APPE meeting.

To apply for a travel grant, just forward to ethics@ohio.edu confirmation of acceptance of your paper with a message expressing interest in the undergraduate APPE travel grant program.

Undergraduate paper competition This year at the Annual Meeting of the Association for Practical and Professional Ethics (February 26-28, 2004) a special session will be held for the presentation of undergraduate papers. Undergraduate students are invited to submit papers on any topic in practical and professional ethics. The papers will be reviewed and the authors of the best papers will be invited to present their papers during a special concurrent session of the Annual Meeting. To submit a paper, students are asked to follow the guidelines for all paper submissions for the Annual Meeting but the deadline for papers will be October 30. Be sure to indicate on the Submission and Registration Form that you are submitting a paper for the undergraduate program. (Note the undergraduate option does not appear on the call for papers registration form, but does appear on the registration form which can be found on the website.) The Annual Meeting registration fee will be waived for those students whose papers have been accepted.
