Clifford Christians, April 8 keynote
Clifford G. Christians is the Charles H. Sandage Distinguished Professor and Research Professor of Communications at the University of Illinois-Urbana. He has joint appointments as a Professor of Journalism and a Professor of Media Studies. He is the author, co-author, or editor of Responsibility in Mass Communication, Teaching Ethics in Journalism Education, Media Ethics: Cases and Moral Reasoning (7th ed. 2005), Good News: Social Ethics and the Press, Communication Ethics and Universal Values, Jacques Ellul: Interpretive Essays, and Moral Engagement in Public Life: Theorists for Contemporary Ethics. His latest book with colleagues from Stanford and Europe, Normative Theories of the Media, is forthcoming from the University of Illinois Press.
