Workshops and Seminars
The Office for Institutional Equity offers short presentations, two-hour workshops, and half or full-day seminars covering diversity and equity issues. The presentations, workshops and seminars are designed to be interactive and experiential. The objective is to supplement knowledge and skills that can be used to facilitate effective interactions with individuals who are different. Topics include but are not limited to issues pertaining to race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, disability, national origin, religion, and age. There is no charge associated with the workshops.

The topics above are just a few examples of issues that are relevant to our student and faculty/staff groups. The Office for Institutional Equity will facilitate open-minded discussions on issues that concern diverse segments of the overall population. Too often, these issues are ignored as irrelevant or too narrow-focus; yet the learnings gleaned from such workshops provide insights into our daily interactions with all people.
