Appalachian Cohort for Engineering Scholarship
An exciting new scholarship opportunity at the Fritz J. and Dolores H. Russ College of Engineering and Technology at Ohio University, the Appalachian Cohort for Engineering (ACE) will provide a cohort of between 8 and 12 incoming freshmen from the Appalachian counties of Ohio, Kentucky, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania with funding and academic support for four years.
Recipients will be immersed in a supportive community of academic advisors and fellow scholarship recipients, and will have access to additional resources such as pre-enrollment summer programs, select housing, and instruction and mentoring in entrepreneurship.
The program is designed to help academically-promising students with significant financial need from Appalachian communities complete a bachelor’s degree in engineering and embark on a successful engineering career.
Selected applicants will be notified by mail in early April. The number of ACE Scholarships is limited. Of the eligible applicants, only those with an exceptional combination of academic promise and financial need will be selected.
